North West Passage Expedition

April 1, 2003 - Some good progress have been made over the weekend by the North West Passage team. Last week went well and they have now begun to pick up speed and as of yesterday only 150 km remained to Cambridge Bay which is the first step along their route. Monday saw them advancing 20 km even though the winds were working against them.

Hope for no more snow

The sun is shining though so the two are feeling good about their journey so far. Physically they also feel in good shape. Hopefully no more snow will come over the next few days as it makes it more heavy to drag the sleds. If all goes well than they should reach Cambridge Bay by April 8.
