Polar Race 2003

March 31, 2003 - The countdown has most certainly begun for The Polar Race 2003. In only 8 days the teams will have to be ready to head off on the great Arctic challenge. A few days ago Mark Harris of the Polar Team announced that he will not be able to compete in the race due to illness.

Cold in Resolute

The weather in Resolute Bay is moderately cold with temperatures at around 35 degrees below zero. From there the contestants will trek the 350 miles towards the Magnetic North Pole. The journey should take about 30 days and re-supplies will be allowed.
