Arctic wrap-up: The Single ski Weight Watchers Greenland program

We will have to add another feature to the expedition Contact software: A log about...pounds lost! At least for the Danish Greenland ladies, who keep dispatching how much weight they've been losing on their trip! Here's their latest today:
"I can't believe that nobody has tried it before - crossing Greenland on one ski! It gives a total different feeling of the travel..." Yes, the ladies wrecked a ski and are now trodding away best they can. They still managed 21 kms. Tonight, they'll try to fix the ski - the coast is not far now!

The guys had another polar bear, and called in a voice dispatch over Iridium today, describing their tech gear.

"We have now completed traveled through the rough ice and past the melt ponds. From here on it should be smooth sailing, that is if we get the right winds. Unfortunately the prevailing winds are in our face until we get on the plateau... but we are still able to tack back and forth with our kites, making some forward progress. The relax pace of our return journey has been very enjoyable. Dad is outside zooming back and forth with his kite, while the rest of us are relaxing and packing up for travel.
