Russian Polar Borneo Station status update

The Russian Borneo station team shot over a heads up last week, on the proceedings of the icy runway and camp out on the polar ice. Here's the latest report:
Information about preparation for Borneo 2005 from Center Polius
The program of High altitude expedition "The North 2005" includes:
1. Construction of the icy runway, followed by inspection of the technical parameters. When satisfied, the authorized inspectors will issue a certificate permit to land airplanes such as AN-74, AN-24, AN-12, IL-114 and others of the type, and to accommodate 2 MI-8T helicopters from the Special Flying Squadron of the Krasnoyarsk Department of Civil aviation.
2. Building of the Icy Base Borneo will allow accommodation of up to 100 people at the same time in the warm modules, including 3 daily meals, medical services, satellite communications and local transportation facilities. The base also serves as point of search and rescue operations for Civil Aviation in that area within the working season - April 2005.
The Borneo base will be used for:
A. Supply of the Scientific Drifting station NP-33 of Arctic and Antarctic research institute with equipment and food, shifting the scientists working on the station since September 2004.
B. Organization of the international research drifting station (involving Russia, Byelorussia and Ukraine), different scientific and educational projects, and sports events (skiing programs, marathon, skydives, scuba divers, and balloon flight to the North Pole.)
Borneo will be in operation April 1 - April 30.
